Toronto Maple Leafs MLC MNC (Milk n' Cookies)

Instructions

  1. Make ahead blue ice cubes: Brew Butterfly Pea Flower Tea. Allow to cool and put into ice cube tray of choice (for puck shapes you can use a muffin tin). Freeze several hours.
  2. Make ahead hockey sticks: Break Bamboo Skewers to create hockey stick blade and shaft. Use gum to connect to the two into a hockey stick shape.  Cut foil wrapper in to strips and "tape" your stick as desired. Separate a mini Oreo and place the half with the icing against the hockey blade.  Chill hockey sticks to allow them to set.
  3. Game day: Combine 2 oz of Gretzky vodka cream (vanilla bean flavour) with 1 oz vodka and some regular ice cubes in a shaker.  Shake vigorously. Pour into glass.
  4. Add 1 oz milk of choice and stir gently.
  5. Add one Leaf's Blue Pea Flower Tea Ice Cube/Puck.
  6. Garnish with a hockey stick.
  7. Enjoy the drink and Go Leafs!
  8. Note: the tea flavour will become more pronounced as the ice cube melts and will also start to colour the drink blue.
  9. Can also be made only with 4 oz of milk for a non-alcoholic alternative.

Ingredients

  • Butterfly pea flower tea (this is a loose leaf caffeine-free tea)
  • Gretzky vodka cream (vanilla bean flavour)
  • Vodka
  • Milk (of choice)
  • Oreo minis
  • Stick of gum with foil wrapper
  • Bamboo skewers (look for ones that could be made into hockey sticks)
  • Ice cubes (for shaker)
  • See picture of ingredients below.

Just in case you are wondering what bamboo skewers that look like hockey sticks... look like!  :-)

Instructions

  1. Combine dry ingredients: In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and Kool-Aid powder (lemonade crystals) and whisk together until well combined (if using liquid Kool-Aid add it to the liquids).
  2. Add liquids: Pour the hot water and oil into a measuring cup, add liquid Kool-Aid and additional colouring, if desired to get the colour you like :)
  3. Prepare the dough: Use a wooden spoon to mix all together until the liquids are well blended and quite dry / shaggy. If it is too wet, you’ll need to add a lot of flour when kneeding the dough.
  4. Let rest until it is cool enough to handle, then knead the dough with your hands, adding flour, until it forms a smooth ball, is no longer sticky and the color is well blended.
  5. Makes about 2 lbs or 1kg of dough (about 5 baseballs)
  6. Store: Place the playdough in an airtight container or ziploc bag and store in the refrigerator.
  7. Have fun and enjoy the giggles 🥰
